Fujitsu AMILO External Graphics Demonstrated
Fujitsu-Siemens has released a driver that allows for its External Graphics Processor (XGP), currently used in the company's Sa 3650 notebook, to support playback on the notebook's built-in display. Previously, an external monitor was required. The demonstration can be viewed on YouTube.

I think these things very shortly will have changeable video cards. Now that would be pretty sick.

Very exciting, anyone know when these things are supposed to go retail and what the launch price will be?
-
So what type of interface does it use? It says PCIe 2.0 but I dont think normal laptops have that on the out side. Maybe they could use usb 3.0.

It has been out for several months (graphicbooster + SA3650).. Check the Fijutsu Siemens part of the forum. -
Heh, whoops, sorry. I did a quick google shopping and amazon search for "Fujitsu AMILO" and nothing came up so I assumed they hadn't hit retail. I'll check out the subforum.

IMO it is really weird, that Fujitsu is practically not marketing its innovative monopol in having an external GPU, that actually is relatively fast, due to the PCI-E 2.0 x8 interface.
I knew about the notebook for at least half year, but I always struggled to find news or information about it. -
This looks pretty cool,I wonder if you can use it in crossfire with another card?
