Dell is well known for its ever changing deals and coupon codes. But this is an odd move, with the latest set of coupons Dell is offering customers either a $100 gift certificate for Linens n' Things or $75 off purchase price of your notebook. The Linen's N Things Gift card is mailed separately if you choose to use that offer, the $75 off coupon will be removed at time of eligible purchase. These coupons CANNOT BE USED TOGETHER!

I'm not sure what the logic is behind offering $100 towards your next bedding purchase, as computers and bedding are not complimentary products. Besides, most people would just rather have $100 off in cold hard cash and not as a gift certificate.

It actually makes some sense to me, having sent one off to college last year and another to go this fall. I would take the additional $25 at Linens 'N Things since we'll be spending over $100 there again this year.

Well there you go. Obviouslly some people are digging the promo. I'd also guess that Dell gets those gift cards at a heavy discount, LNT wants the branding and knows most people will spend well over the $100 card. Probably works out well for everyone.
