E-mail is a great method for sending text over the Internet, but when it comes to sending large file, you'll likely need a more robust data transfer system. We break down four of the best File Transfer services available today in this buyers guide.

Great article: well-written and informative, but you missed my personal favourite, FilesDIRECT. It:
    i. Send files up to 2GB even with free plan
ii. Works with all file types (video, audio, CAD, whatever)
iii. 128-bit SSL encryption on all files
iv. No software to install and works with any OS
    v. 2 GB of storage to start

Easy to use, 30-day free trial – it’s got my vote!

    ifile.it is decent too.

It is limited to 300 meg file uploads, but is otherwise unlimited. No membership required. Unlimited uploads & downloads. No waiting for downloads to begin. No membership required. No paid memberships exist at this time. Choice of html or flash tools for uploading. If there is another limitation, it's that files must be downloaded occasionally or they disappear.
