NotebookReview.com Reviews for these Dell Laptops:
Inspiron 9300 Review: http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=2256&review=Inspiron+9300
The Inspiron 9300 is Dells flagship desktop replacement notebook computer. Sporting a choice of two 17" widescreen displays, it is aimed at buyers who desire power and value over ultimate mobility. Dell took a very different approach with this desktop replacement, however. With an Intel Pentium M instead of the hot running, power hogging Pentium 4, this laptop is perhaps the smallest, lightest, and longest running 17" PC notebook available.

Inspiron 700m Review: http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=2022
The Dell Inspiron 700m sits on the borderline of being an ultraportable (usually determined as a notebook weighing 3 -- 4 lbs) notebook and a thin-and-light style notebook (defined as a notebook weighing 4 -- 6 lbs). With a gorgeous 12.1" widescreen, 4.1 lbs of weight and 1.5 inches of thickness this notebook is certainly small and highly mobile, yet still big enough that isvery usable given the widescreen viewing and decent, though not full, sized keyboard it has. Let's get on with a full review of the good and the bad of this Inspiron 700mlaptop.
<HR id=null>Inspiron 6000 Review: http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=2344
The Dell Inspiron 6000 is Dell's first notebook to be released that includes the latest Intel Sonoma platform. The Inspiron 6000 is a 15.4" widescreen notebook that best acts as a desktop replacment since it weighs about 7lbs. With a price of around $1500 when configured with a Pentium M 730 1.6GHz processor, this notebook offers decent performance to cost ratio, but the look and build is rather underwhelming overall.

Anyone know of any "catches" to this offer? Like - are the components of older date or refurbished? The deal on the Inspiron 6000 includes a $64 warranty, service and support option.
-
The DELL 700M configuration has to purchased with minimum 3Yr Ltd Warr,At-Home Service4,and Tech Support plus Nights and Weekends. This adds about $200 to the cost, is this normal when they run the $750 off configs? Is there any way around it? Help!

looks like Ankush has found the catch, you have to get a fairly long term warranty for these offers to work apparently. I'm guessing they're doing that because a lot of people were buying these notebooks and then reselling them on eBay. A 3-year service plan isn't such a bad thing if you'll be using the notebook yourself.
Re on components. No, Dell will not use cheaper components or provide a different product in any way because this notebook is on offer.

I configured an inspiron 6000 and when I tried to apply the coupon it said that I had not for filled the requirements, the total price came to $1,694.95 and i used the link from the post. I copied and pasted the coupon several times but ever time it did the same thing. The discount details revealed that the code was for an entirely different discount. anyone have any idea what went wrong?

In order for the coupons to work, the Inspiron has to have a special e-value code....to enter the code, go to the following site:
http://www1.us.dell.com/content/topics/segtopic.aspx/evalue?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&~ck=mn
The e-value codes for the 6000 are:
1111-i6000a5 (has a Pentium M 1.5 processor)
1111-i6000a6 (has a Pentium M 1.6 processor)
1111-i6000a7 (has a Pentium M 1.7 processor)
If you use the coupons, the processor isn't customizable. However, you will have options on most, if not all, of the other features. If you want a different Insprion, the e-value codes are listed in Abaxter's first post.
The coupons will be automatically deducted from your total once you have added it to your cart. [ ]
Hope this helps,
~SG~

I hope i don't sound condescending but it didn't work. I used the link you provided and entered the coupon for Pentium M 1.7 processor but i found that the processor was still customizable. and when i tried to apply the coupon the exact samething happened as before.
I tried the same thing with the other 2 options and the only difference was that the processors weren't customizable. someone please help me!

Sorry, I didn't realize that the a7 code had customizable processors. I tried to get the coupon to work also, but mine said it had been redeemed already which usually means that the coupon has reached it maximum limit.
