That 7800GTX is a nice card. But....$$$$$$$$$$$ :budget:
The upgrade from a 6800 Ultra to a 7800 is $349 - ouch. I don't think Dell did anything else to the XPS besides upgrade the gfx card and add a few other opts. But, it's still cool. -
thats one mean lookin laptop. but the price looks like a used car sale.
-
wow...wonder who's gonna get it at that price

Any words on the M140?

So far there aren't any words on the M140. Dell will probably release this notebook later as they are letting the M170 (it is still a XPS Gen. 2 no matter what Dell says, it just has the very expensive option of the Nvidia GeForce Go 7800 GTX Ultra) have the glory in the sun.
Dell will probably announce the M140 soon for a holiday release. -
I have this gut feeling now that Dell is waiting on both of these mobile parts (ATI or NV) to come out before launching the M140. It wouldn't delay if it could just use the 6600/X700. I guess that it'll contain a 7600/X1700. -

when are they going to annouce the m1900? the 19in inspiron with dual core cpu and SLI nvidia 8800gtx?!! i am waiting for that one...
-
Sometime next year actually...
-
Wow.. nice laptop. Not that I'd buy it, but very nice (drools on keyboard)..
-
One nice thing though. I talked to dell tech support, and they said that I could upgrade my XPS gen 2 with the 7800 gtx. They couldn't tell me how much it would cost...
