I just love companies like Dell. They can find a way to put USB 3.0 in their cheapest consumer laptops, but business users have to use up the e-modular bay, and pay extra, for that privilege.

Low-resolution 1366 x 768 displays even on their 15 inch screens. My 4-year old Asus 15 incher can do more than that. How horrifically stupid is this?

You're describing 99% (or more) of 15.6" notebooks sold today.

Because Apple, Asus, Sony, and Sanger (with 5 minutes of searching) represent less than 1% of the market? Err no. Dell stopped being relevant to smart shoppers years ago.

ASUS/Sony 15.6" notebooks mostly come with 1366x768 resolutions. Sager is definitely a very small piece of the pie. Apple doesn't make 15.6" notebooks.

Most technology shoppers are ignorant about things like screen resolution so 1366x768 will continue to sell.
