    Dell Latitude E4300 Troubles
    [IMG]
The Register reports that Dell is experiencing supply issues with its Latitude E4300 ultraportable notebook. Apparently, customers are being told they may have to wait up to three months to take delivery. Dell did not reveal many details except that the delays are being caused by a component supply problem.

I guess keeping only 1-2 weeks of inventory at a time can come with a toll.

Up to 3 months...OHMy...it's a sweet looking laptop though! :D

Hopefully, they can get it all *sorted* out soon, so they don't have a potential situation like this going forward.

this is unfortunate most of these people will end up canceling there orders.

The E4300 is really nice though i love the form factor.

    Any sane person would cancel.
In 3 months, something better would come out, and whatever you ordered would be cheaper. There's no reason to keep an outstanding order for a computer for 3 months.

The Dell UK website is currently showing 5 weeks delay on the E4300, which is somewhat less than 3 months.

Rumor has it that it is not a supply problem, but rather an epic fail on Dell's part. Something is wrong with the chipset and/or way the processor communicates with the rest of the system and/or the hard drive.
