Dell Intros Latitude ON FLASH Feature
Dell today introduced a new feature for its Latitude business notebooks. ON | FLASH is an instant-boot feature with a graphical interface, allowing users access to email, Internet with Flash support, Skype, and a few other features. It runs off of a small flash memory module in certain Dell Latitude notebooks; the benefit of running off flash memory is that ON | FLASH is cheaper than the original Latitude ON introduced earlier this year. The downside of ON | FLASH is that it does not have its own dedicated processor which means the computer's processor must be powered on, so the potentially multi-day battery life is not possible with ON | FLASH.
ON | FLASH is now being offered as a $50 option on the Latitude E4200, E4300, and Z notebooks.

I love this feature on my Envy, the Envy IOS, it is extremely fast and useful...I like it how it is spreading -
Don't use it very much, but I can certainly see why it would be useful. I disabled mine. -

I can't use Express Gate as I need to go through a VPN to get online, hence why I never use it. -
Wonder if we'll see a Chrome OS variant dual-booting with Windows like this?

This feature needs to be implemented so users can hook their laptops up to an HDTV like a gaming console.
Someone PM me if you know of such a program.
