I hate to bust your bubble but in the christmas catalog I received 2 days ago, the top WXUGA and the WXVA+ were not a option only the base was. IMHO this is not a good sign for a replacement of the 8600, for I have the WXUGA 1920 X 1200 or 2,394,400 pixel screen. Although I go down a notch for typing and reading of letters, I resize the screen for watching Wide Screen movies. Off topic my HDTV only has a 1280 x 1080i or 1,382,400 pixel screen and its size is 39 inches![ ]

for 2 years i've been working on WUXGA resolutionand i like the spacy screen so 17"WUXGA combined with the Pentium M and the powerfull ATI,.... that computer is really something different from the others that are offering P4 and 17"WSXGA+ maximum. Sony are the only one that are offering this type of resolution but everyone knows what are the prices of the upgrades in that company. So at last somebody will offer the perfect desktop replacement-powerfull, light scilent, powerfull and still mobile.
2 thumbs up for dell
