As said a million times, the inspiron 1525 is for regular users (like me, that's why i bought it =D). Before you question dell, look at the perspective of a regular, non-gaming user. There would be no need for a dedicated graphics card! Besides, I question why ppl would want a gaming laptop anyway when a desktop would work much better if space and etc. was available. The offset would be that a laptop is harder to control and has a smaller screen (IMO anyway). Excuse me for my naivety of this perspective. From my experience, I have desktops at home that support my gaming needs. Anyway, If you only need a word processing, email, simple online gaming computer, etc. (nothing like WoW or w/e a high level game is, dunno... dun play much of those, not enough time...) the inspiron 1525 is all you need. The XPS 1530 is meant for users who have need of a light and powerful computer, but at a higher cost. The Inspiron 1520 can do nearly anything the 1530 can do, except that it's heavier and more bulky. It's a trade-off for a lower price than the XPS 1530. Both these Inspirons are suppose to push the popularity of the combination of the 1525+1520 aka XPS 1530.

However, I do wonder why they don't at least but the 8400 in since the 1530 can fit it and is still a high performance laptop. I guess it's really meant to push the 1530 and the 1525 and 1520 are for the left side and right side users while the 1530 is the powerful in-between.
