    DMI stands for Direct Media Interface, and on older chipsets was the connection between the northbridge and the southbridge. With the memory controller now integrated onto the chip, the new motherboards for these 2 families move the other functions of the northbridge to the southbridge, dispense with the northbridge, and the DMI connection goes straight from the processor to the southbridge.

    When will DELL UK update their page :confused: Can't wait to see prices for Core i7 DELL lappies. SXPS 16 with i7 will definitely be my next comp :)
