    Starts @ $599? lol

Considering you can get dm1z under $450 now with the dual core etc.. & X120e under $460 w/ the 6 cell, E350, BT for under $460 after 10% discount.

It is not going to go head-to-head very well at that price. $250 for the same internals as the dm1z. lol

LOL At $699 they should have gone with a 64 or 125GB SSD, plus 4GB RAM and a metal chassis. That would have created some differentiation. Wonder who does their marketing?

    Why you say fail?

I say fail cause of finger print magnet lids and maybe palm rest also. I hate these type of computers.

The old 101Z came in at around 500 with the k325 and 4 gigs of ram. This machine will have more battery life but that's it. The neo system will perform as well as the fusion if not better. These are early retail estimates for prices and most likely won't be what the real prices are. Like the last generation, it will probably cost 50 to 100 more for a same spec in comparison with the dm1. About the only thing that is different is the availability of a tv tuner.

Personally, I think Dell Inspirons took a dive around 2007 with the ill fated 1520's and the 1330's that burned out. The studios were crap IMO and Dell quit offering 30 day money back guarantee like HP still does. Instead, they are like best buy with restock fees. They don't stand behind their consumer line anymore.

IMO, HP put some thought in their dm1 and found that niche price point where the E-350 sells. I think the lenovo x120e and HP dm1 are the only worthy fusion machines. And only the dm1 is priced right for what it is.
