    you cant have a customized HP pavilion dv6500 models from hp.ca,
    and the recently launched toshiba satellite with amd processors.
    I dont understand why IT companies ignore canda?

    Yeah, its pretty frustrating... I saw a yank with the specs of his 1520 in his sig, which was EXACTLY the same as the one i was planning on getting, saying he only spent a bit over $1, 100. If i buy it in Canada, it would cost me just under $2, 000.

    I also noticed the HP.ca thing... Its the same with lenovo.ca and toshiba.ca too... They charge more, and are offering the older(merom) technology. It would be considerably cheaper to just drive an hour south and order the thing from an american house, and pay the custom's tariffs.
