I have just got to know that Toshiba launches laptop with three GPUs, The combined efforts of both companies resulted in Toshiba's most powerful gaming laptop to date featuring the new highly integrated GeForce® 9400M graphics processing unit (GPU) along with a pair of NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GTS enthusiast-class GPUs.
That laptop must be very cool for gaming.

Does the laptop really use the 9400m? The Toshiba website mentions nothing about it at all. Their site does not even mention that it has it at all. I've read that it's built into the chipset...? It can be used for "conserving battery", right? Lithus seems pretty accurate with his references. If playing Bioshock for example I'd imagine that the 9400m could muster to display the hand / weapon in fullest detail then the whole world / area is done by the two 9800GTS's...

Anywho, could someone just explain how it works? Do more computers have this?

The notebook can switch to either the integrated 9400M graphics to reduce heat and energy consumption or the dual 9800M GTS cards in SLI for graphics processing power.

Its nice to have the option to switch to a low powered GPU when needed unlike most gaming notebooks where your stuck with the high powered card sucking down juice even when your word processing or web surfing for example. You could down-clock the GPU to help but being able to switch to an integrated low power one is still better.

The 9400M can't join the 9800M cards in tri-SLI, their mutually exclusive.

A member here a week or two ago said he found info of Asus releasing notebooks with dual and even triple Radeon HD4000 cards in the future. I was hoping to hear about them when I saw the thread title. I think it was a hoax anyways. :(

It isn't any more power hungry, it's an IGP.
