(view large image)"From my hands-on experience, the TN71M leaves much to be desired in terms of overall build quality. The plastic case was very cheap and flexible, and would bend with the slightest touch. While the specifications are fine for a notebook of that size, without a durable shell it would fall apart in a matter of weeks."

Thanx..I love to see ATI HD38XX card system from clevo
-
I'm glad to see clevo using ATI.
I also want that 15" powerhouse.
But I don't really like the hinges, but I could live with it. -
now I wait for them to be released....so I! can buy the "older" hardware and probably get a sager 5793 with OS and 8800gtx config for under 2k XD from xoticpc XD
-
nice, but i didnt like tablet comment...
-
That "sub-tablet" looks like an ultra chunky Palm Pilot with a keyboard.
-
wtf dual vid cards and 8800gtx in 15" notebooks they must run realy realy hot or have some very big fans
-
Its dual low end cards........
-
-
They could prove to be fairly effective, the same way dual cores improved upon single cores. -
As of today there are no dual core GPU's atall. -

I'm wondering if this is the mobile version of having crossfire by having a HD3200 chipset motherboard and a HD3450/3470 etc. graphics card...? -
-
Clevo has some nice new notebooks!

-
finally, some non netbook news from computex!
-
lots of clevo pictures please -
Anything: pics, specs, rumors, dates, etc. Thnx -
.
I feel that, at the next WWDC (or sooner) Apple may introduce its Atom based EEE-like subnotebook, and it may have these specs and looks like a small "eeeAir":
. -
if apple really is gonne sell a EEE like subnote book for 600$ or less it will be a damn big hit atleast i will race to the shop to get one even though i wouldnt need it i just wanne have it
-
What's so "second-tier" about Clevo?
-
Clevo does NOT design, manufacture, or sell notebooks for large brand OEMs (Dell, Apple, Sony, HP, etc..). The main ODMs that do that are usually Quanta and Compal.... which does about 90% of the world's notebooks.
Clevo is an ODM for boutique/custom brands... so you won't find them in large retail stores. -
ANything Quadcore in notebooks. -
Can't wait for the M860TU!
-
Just for my info since I can't find this anywhere, will one 8800m gtx beat any of the Mobility x2's?
-
yes.
the mobility x2's are mid-range cards... at best.
no dual mid-range cards (in a mobile environment) has yet to defeat a single high-end 8800M GTX.
look at the GPU Guide. -
No proofs, just a gut-feeling, we'll wait it out and see. -
Love the Clevo design! Much better than alienware flashy designs. I wonder how the X2 cards will stack up against the 8800m GTX?
-
I'm sure there's many out there (especially college students) who really want a "netbook" that can run OSX and has an Apple logo on the lid.
Would make great sales for Apple. -
-
Ooh... and check if anyone's releasing ATI XGP-capable laptops besides fujitsu
-
. -
The M860TU looks very interesting. Its like the M15x, except better, since its not an Alienware and thus probably will have better support from resellers and such.
What the hell is this eeeAir thing? Apple would be stupid not to make a netbook, but I wouldn't expect it until MacWorld 09...I'd buy one if they made it though, especially if it looked like the MacBook. -
The 860TU should be a nice competition for the m15x , yes, but what worries me is that it will have only 1 fan
-
So we´d better now try to find a proper NB Cooler for this one-fan-beast. Maybe Zalman NC1000?
