    Compal president Ray Chen said that he expects the global notebook market to reach 140-150 million units in 2009 with the help of netbooks. He says that netbooks will account for 25% of the company's shipments. Chen said notebook demand will not be high this year despite the misleading influx of rush orders from manufacturers, who are not responding to market demand but rather restocking inventories. Notebook demand should increase in the third quarter of this year when new models are introduced.
