Toshiba is sponsoring the World Cup 2006 event to take place in Germany this year. As such they pulled out all the stops at CeBIT 2006 to promote this association they have with what's by far the world's most popular sport.

Toshiba set up an area for soccer fans to go in and practice their goal shooting skills:

Also on display were a couple of laptops that Toshiba is producing limited editions of FIFA 2006 branded Satellite notebooks, labelling them "The best technical players, have their own distinctive style."

All of the Toshiba reps at the show were wearing traditional football warm up kits (you can see the girls in the background wearing these red kits):

The upcoming Qosmio machine with a built-in HD-DVD optical drive was featured inside a soccer ball display:

Of course, the World Cup 2006 lion mascot showed up to stand next to one of the branded laptops:

The use of soccer to promote laptop products was not limited to just Toshiba however, Intel had a big setup in which they wereusing Sony VAIO FE laptops to run EA Sports FIFA 2006:

Just about every manufacturer there had EA's FIFA 2006 running on their machines I think. World Cup 2006 starts in June, Toshiba obviously hopes to piggy back of this events popularity to sell more laptops!
