What happens if we already bought one? Now that's just not fair.

Trying to get more info on this deal was the pain in the butt though... I'm planning to enroll in my local community college soon so I had no ID or email... Customer service via chat is a joke D:

I would love to know how to get the free Xbox with purchase of Lenovo laptops. The only thing I have figured out is buying a few models through Amazon or the Microsoft store , but neither offers the X220, X1, etc. Any help would be appreciated.

It looks like pretty much all retailers have hiked up prices by at least $100 to compensate for the deal, so what seems too good to be true actually is :(.

It's a great way for them to get kids locked into Microsoft early...

Considering most computers ship with MS Windows, I'm pretty sure most kids are initiated to Microsoft at a very early age :p

Does the XBox still have a failure rate of over 50% for the first two years? Maybe the smart kids will still buy MacBooks and will save the money for the upcoming Nintendo console?

Ah the RROD (red ring of death) I heard a little about. I wonder if they did correct that issue.

I haven't heard much about the RRoD recently. I think they got that mostly fixed.

Its not for EVERY windows 7 PC though. When I ordered my xps 15 from Dell, you could only choose their pre-assembled, i% xps 15, and arent allowed to upgrade/customize it at all... Which pissed me off to no end especially since I would be paying them more to get the laptop i wanted.

EDIT: Yes, the RRoD has been fixed, heating problems fixed, disk tray problems fixed, much quieter, and ever so slightly faster.
