I received my PowerSleeve a few hours ago, and was too impressed with it not to share this. A full review will be done on this in a couple of weeks.
Booq's line of PowerSleeves is designed with multiple screen/notebook size support in mind. This is the largest, the XXL that would fit most if not all 17" notebooks.
Quick features:
Foam from all around.
Paded shoulder strap.
2 slim pockets (on front and back).
My Fujitsu N6010 fits in it with space to spare in all directions.
Yes all of that was inside there. [ ]

Qwester,
I told you that you can't wait to share your opinion when you get something new that you love or hate. Lets hope the Hub (tomorrows Friday) is the same. I don't go anywhere but I still was looking at this a few days ago because it was so padded and convenient (easy access). I was curious what the price was that you got it for and where? I'm sure it'll be in your review but I would like to suggest this to someone I know the sooner the better.
For me whenever I get to buy my Fujitsu 17" since I don't take it out of the home but move it several times a day, I think I would buy the Neoprene covers. I love them for Cell phones and PDA's. I don't know how it would be for a PC but it has to be some pretty fair protection for just the home.

neoprene is good for scratch protection. This has excellent padding to protect from blows, of course light blows, I don't think it will protect from a fall, at least not for something as heavy as this, maybe a 12" which is lighter.
I got this for 2 reasons.
1) I am sick of my bulky back pack. Back packs that fit a 17" are just too huge, although mine barely fits the N6010 so it is smaller than it should be, and yet ...
2) I am going for summer break in a few weeks, and have quite a few flights planned during this break. So I wanted a way to carry my laptop that would protect it and not be too much of a hassle. So this sleeve will be idle protection for my notebook when I place it in my carry on roller luggage. I don't want to have to carry 2 bags, one for my stuff and one for the laptop.
From first looks it is really nice, it's just a tad larger than it needs to be for my case, so it does add a bit of extra size, but no biggie. The padded shoulder strap is the best thing, very comfy.
I bought it direct from booq (www.booqbags.com) they are a bit expensive and don't sell in other online or retail stores. I found this at one other unknown online store that was only a few $ cheaper, but decided to just get it from a more reliable source (the mother company). But now that I have seen the build quality, I can understand the pricing.

Looks great Qwester [ ]. Can you fit the powersupply in it somewhere? I want to get it, but I wasn't sure if the pockets would fit a powersupply.
Thanks,
~SG~

Thanks for the info. I'm like you. I'm tired of my backpack weighing a ton and plus having to have an extra large backpack. Now that I've seen it and like it, I think I'm going to go order right now [ ]

[edit] Thanks Qwester for the pic. I just ordered the sleeve [ ]. Its just too good to pass up at the moment.

Do any of you folks have the Vyper sleeve? I'm thinking about getting one of these, or the Sumdex ImpactGuard Insert Sleeve to use inside my backpack.

I couldn't get the viper cause it's too thin for what I have, although I would have prefered it since it's a bit more compact.
But I have to admit that the shoulder strap comes in handy for heavy notebooks like mine! -

The sleeve looks good. Do you know the level of protection it can give? e.g. bumps, drops
Has anyone used it and dropped their notebook?
I have seen one which in their site have a drop test to prove its worth.

Do you know other laptop sleeves with a similar protection? That is for big laptops also like the 17" ones.
It would be nice to share your experience with the laptop sleeves.
If one can buy a thousand dollars worth laptop, why not protect it the best way one can. It would be worth the headache. Unless of course, one has an accident insurance on the laptop. -
I imagine the i9300 would fit in here too?

My dimensions for you to compare: 15.9"(w) x 11.6"(d) x 1.70/2.08"(h)
