looks like either a small keyboard or alot of chassis?
    Averatec store is showing $649.
I think they mean IEEE1394, and not IEEE1384?
No mention of the battery, I guess it would be a 6 cell? 4 cell?

Large chassis - look at those bezels. My Averatec 2155 is pretty much identical, except for 1. obvious spec differences, 2. it's black, not white, 3. webcam and apparently a "frameless" display. Looks a bit more refined than my 2155 as well.

I would presume it's a 4-cell battery, as that is what my 2155 came with.

Averatec's warranty/quality leaves much to be desired, so I would say avoid this unless you want a cheap ultraportable. You get what you pay for.

I know that the last 2500 series of Laptops / Notebooks that Averatec had were made by MSI and were just a rebranded model of MSI. I am guessing that these should be the same.

sounds a bit heavy, but that dual core + 12 inch screen + reasonable price sure are attractive

whats the battery life like on this thing?

My 2155 was a rebrand of an MSI machine as well. Averatec typically rebrands MSI's and Twinheads for its machines.
