    Intel graphics cards have had a long history of underperforming, so this is no surprise for me.

    Meh... true gamers will go for a dedicated solution anyway. Even if it had been DX10 compliant, I highly doubt it would have been possible of playing any games in DX10 mode. Honestly, most people have to use DX7 mode on the GMA950, which is technically DX9.0c compliant.
