    Well, ASUS fixed the graininess issue with a BIOS update, I suppose the vertical lines might was be an issue that can be undone using a tweak.

    Run the fans faster? Underclock it more (and it is underclocked to start with) ? ;)

    I hadn't come across the lines issue yet - possibly unsurprising as I actually use it off the desk so with the 9400M almost 100% of the time.
