    Fat chance. If the 8700 is really just an overclocked 8600M GT, there's no way it will be cool or low-power enough to work in the MBP. The 65nm 8800Ms would have a better chance than the 8700M, but don't count on it.

    they pulled out the best choices with the 8400GT (Vaio FZ) and 8600GT cards! imho, 8400GS is too slow and 8600GS is too overclocked. what is I don't know... which lappies has GDDR3.. does MBP ? :confused:

    The MBP and Asus G1S have confirmed GDDR3. The Compal IFL90 is unconfirmed, but early reports say it's DDR2. The Zeptos use DDR2, and Dell's 1520 and 1720 will likely use GDDR3.

    do you notice the yellowish bottom 1/3 of the display? based on the review it seems you are unaffected.
