Gigabyte has long been a well-known brand among desktop PC gamers who build their own PCs, but the Gigabyte Aorus line of laptops is getting ready to shake things up for notebook gamers. The X3 is exactly what I want! -

I'm very excited about the X3 and X3 Plus and I may even want to replace my current Ultrabook which has entry-level discrete graphics with this so I can do more serious gaming on the road. There are only three questions I have:
1) Price. I really can't see myself spending $2000+ on a 13-inch laptop PC with a single GPU. So I'll be very interested in what Gigabyte says about actual street pricing.
2) Batery life. It's no secret that high-end GPUs suck down battery power when you're gaming, so I'm curious how long the X3's battery will last when you're gaming. I'm sure it will be fine for general use, but the main reason that you buy a laptop like this is to game while on the road, so it needs good battery life while gaming.
3) Noise. The dual-fan cooling system and massive vents on the X3 are bigger than any other cooling system we've seen on a modern 13-inch laptop. I'm sure they move the heat away from the system and the user but the unknown element is "How loud do those fans get?" I really don't want a laptop that sounds like a hair dryer while gaming, so as long as the fan noise isn't bad when I'm in a quiet room then I'll be happy. -
Going big isn't a bad thing! Larger fans are usually quieter. The problem with small fans is they need to spin very fast to move enough air to keep the components cool, so they make more noise. Compare that to bigger fans that move every bit as much air, yet the sound is less intrusive.
These new thin and lite models are very nice.
