    Another great review. +rep.

Elaborating on the m11xR3's weight we see that looks may be deceiving if it's believed the m11xR3 is the most portable gaming system There are other options.

Consider the m11xR3 is heavier and occupies more volume than the Acer 3830TG. If you remove the optical drive on a Lenovo Y470 you're at 2.05kgs, close to a 2.00kg m11xR3. Listed also is a X220 and R830 in case potential buyers may want to buy a considerably lighter system and use an an eGPU like a GTX460M/GT560Ti for docked gaming instead. $=no optical drive.

    Code:
    13" Toshiba R830	3.10lbs (1.40kgs). 1" thick.
    12.5" Lenovo X220$	3.20lbs (1.45kgs). 1.36" thick. IPS LCD option. mSATA.
    13" LG P330$ 3.63lbs (1.65kgs). GT555M.
    13" Sony SA 3.71lbs (1.69kgs). 0.95" thick. HD6630M/900P option.
    13" Acer 3830TG$	4.11lbs (1.87kgs). 1.14" thick. GT540M. [URL="http://forum.techinferno.com/acer/591-acer-aspire-timelinex-5830tg-4830tg-3830tg-2.html"]Poor cooling=throttling[/URL].

Very nice review idd, M11X is a winner. As it seems Witcher2 will be the new Crysis for notebooks, i hope we going to see new generation GPUs the following year from nVidia and ATI.

The current generation of high-end notebook GPUs can handle The Witcher 2 at 1080p resolution and deliver a reasonable game play experience. I'm eager to see how notebooks with the new NVIDIA GTX 580M (and 580M SLI) will perform with that game.

In any case, the M11x can play The Witcher 2 ... you just have to use the less impressive "Low Spec" configuration setting.

AMEN. I don't know if the Alienware team is willing to give AMD's A-series processors and new Radeon graphics a shot in the M11x (since the chassis was pretty much built around Intel and NVIDIA components) but our initial review of those new AMD A-series processors and graphics shows that technology would be perfect for a compact gaming notebook like the M11x.

I doubt Dell will introduce a Llano based M11x but if they don't switch to a Fusion platform in future revisions someone else will and put a hurt on the AW. A system-on-chip platform with a good GPU is just flat out better suited for this type of machine.

Rumor was Samsung wanted to be a big producer of AMD Fusion notebooks and if they figure it out to put a Llano in the 12.5" Series 3 or 4 machines they'd have a strong M11x competitor.
