"Acer will launch a revision to its Aspire One D250 netbook that will sport a high-definition (1280 x 720) display as opposed to the 1024 x 600 resolution found on the current model. This will be the last revision of the D250 before it releases new models based on the Pine Trail platform early next year according to Fudzilla.

The rest of the specifications will remain the same and include a 1.6GHz N270 Atom processor, 1GB RAM and a 160GB HDD. The D250 is a reasonably lightweight (1.33kg) and thin model, coming with a 6-cell battery. The new revision is already available on pre-order from a retailer in Norway, it is scheduled to launch on 30 July 2009. There is no word on other regions for now. "

The price in Europe is € 299, which translates roughly into $300 because laptops are a lot cheaper in the US.

Oh finally, one of the most important upgrades to a netbook, and its still a good cost too.

It's interesting they use a 1280*720 10.2" panel. I've never seen that before.

I've been waiting since the original EEE PC for someone to release a netbook than wouldn't me off just waiting for it to boot and after nearly 2 years I still haven't purchased one. Sounds like we're gonna have to wait at least another 6 months for there to even be a shot of a respectably performing netbook. I guess the last hope for 2009 is that the new timeline series, think its 11.6", performs well.

Edit: language filter here is a little too restrictive...

Acer 1810T might be something for you. It's the size of a netbook with SU3500, X4500 and HDMI.

Core 2 Duo SU9400 version is also expected, I believe.

Really? The SU3500 version in the U.S will range from $500-700, I hope the SU9300 won't be that much more expensive, maybe a $200 premium max.

That would make it a very, very solid competitor against the Vaio TT, it would have literally the same features, maybe a slightly worse screen but a fraction of the price. I'm excited!!!

Don't take my word for it though. I think I have read somewhere that the 11.6" would have Core 2 Duo too.

On the other hand, the chassis of the 1810T (and 751) is really small. SU9400 (10 watt) does have a higher TDP than SU3500 (5.5 watt). So maybe it's not possible.

Edit: and looking at the original Acer page it's not going to happen: http://acer.ae/acer/product.do?Lang...nd189e.c2att1=24&ctx1.att21k=1&CRC=1296467598
