Looks like a really nice system. Too bad it's more expensive than its competitors like the 8204 was/is.

Won't take a chance on one of these till I hear how the screen is. If it's not any better than the one on the 8204, no way!

Well Actually it's not more expensive than the 8204.
Here in Denmark the 8204 costs 3200$ and the 8215 WLMI with 2.0 Core2 Duo and 2 GB DDR2 ram and the same strong VGA Card costs 2500$,

Dont know why but it is 700$ cheaper!!

Hmm it cannot beat the Z96J that has the same configuration for $1,600.

it's listed on sites for nearly $3000, that's rediculous. and it's a shame they rushed it out with core 2 duo, should have waited for the x1700 as well.

I've had mine for over a week. I use it for software development and some entertainment. This is one nice system!!!. I've been looking for something like this for a long time. It's everything I could ever want.
I started by re-formating & re-installing the OS. Everything went without any problems. I went to the Acer web site to obtain the necessary drivers and utilities. The preformance (after tunning XP) is fantastic. I cannot find anyting wrong with the system. No matter which system you purchase everyone will need to customize it to meet their needs. The trick is to start with a good base and the Acer 8216 is a perfect platform.
