As Acer expands its Predator gaming lineup for the second half of 2017 the company continues to focus on thermal technology to push the limits of gaming hardware. Acer’s new AeroBlade 3D fans and a new Corning Gorilla Glass touchpad design were introduced to enable the new Predator Triton ultrathin gaming notebook series and the more affordable Predator Helios notebooks.

It's the glass piece above the keyboard, just below the display. No buttons, tap-to-click only.

Acer made an RBP for 1000$ cheaper, probably cooled better and with better support. Wooohoo

What a stupid design, totally useless. No palm rest for the hands, impossible to use mouse...
If you want to do anything on this computer besides gaming with an external mouse, good luck.

I like my laptops to be good at everything, rather than be 'unique' at one thing.
Doubt they'll sell much if any.

Hope that's not the new trend going forward with Asus doing the same on their new max-q notebook. The lack of a palm rest seems counter intuitive ergonomics wise for a portable laptop

As much crap as the Razer Blade Pro (deservedly) gets, I love its keyboard and trackpad design. Never having to worry about accidentally brushing the palm rest while typing is great, IMO.
