    Acer is launching new Aspire notebooks based on Intel's latest Core i3 and i5 processors. The new AS5740 and AS7740 series feature Acer's Gemstone Blue design and start at $599.99. Models are available with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 1GB and HD 5470 512MB graphics.


    The AS5470 series has a 15.6-inch display (1366x768), weighs 6.16 lbs, and has up to a claimed four hours of battery life with a six-cell 4400mAh battery. The AS7740 series has a 17.3-inch display (1600x900), weighs 7.05 lbs, and has up to a claimed 3.5 hours of battery life out of its six-cell 4400mAh battery. Both models are available with up to 4GB RAM/500GB hard drive space, Blu-ray drives, multi-gesure touchpads, and have a one-year warranty. Pricing starts at $599.99.

    Im glad I waited till the new processors and Graphics Cards came out...this looks like a good start for a good all-rounder laptop (AS5470).
