Not recommended, you will need to do alot of work to minimize (not eliminate) the stuttering.

379 for the 6 cell seems to be the best price I could find and I spent a lot of time looking. HSN is charging 499 for it and people are buying it. They had it on TV the other night for 479........I bought mine at Amazon

Surprisingly, Aspire one is selling pretty cheap in India ... 1 gb memory,120 gb hdd @ 14499 INR (305$) .....

Generally all manufactures keep the prices @ 10-15% higher than US prices but this is surely a treat ... :p

I just got the 8.9 inch Acer Aspire Vision One Netbook. Overall very good IMO. I did a series of modifications and software program tests to see what types of things it could actually handle and was actually surprised. I also documented it so others can see what type of things are possible at http://www.virtualsecrets.com/acer-aspire-one-netbook.html

We have 5 Acer Aspire Ones in our medical office, four of the larger 10 inch, and one of the smaller units. All have the 6 cell battery. The battery life is exceptional. I plug in my unit whenever I am not actually carrying it around, and I recharge it at lunch time as well. The two issues we have with them are 1) the keyboard is really small, but is a good keyboard, is hard going back and forth from the smaller keyboard to a full size board- lots of typing errors for me, and 2) the screen resolution is very low which makes some commercial applications unhappy. All of our programs run but our document managment software gives us a warning when it starts up. the documents are still displayed beautifully though. I configure all the units using the DVD drive on our server to distribute files, so not having an optical drive is not a problem for us. They all run on XP Home, which we prefer of Vista anyways. The wireless networking reception in excellent in our 5,000 sq foot office with an HP Procurve Access Point.
