    Acer Aspire One 10-inch Now Available

    The 10.1-inch Acer Aspire One netbook is now officially available in the United States. The Aspire One AOD150 has a starting price of $349.99. It has typical netbook specifications, including an Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, Windows XP Home, and a 6-cell battery. The AOD150 weighs 2.95 pounds and measures 10.2" (W) x 8.0" (D) x 1.31" (H). It is available now via Acer's authorized resellers and at major retailers nationwide.

    Looks good, though part of the "draw" of the Acer Aspire One was the size...8.9. A little over an inch is not going to make much of a difference, I guess, but not enough for me to (yet) abandon my still new AAO original.

    The current Aspire One may have an 8.9" screen but it's got the chassis of a 10".

    lol im with you i hate large borders....

    thats why the dell mini and the Vaio P looks so good, thin borders.

    This netbook is gonna be a top seller, the pricing is excellent along with the specs.....i love that red too RED FTW!

    reason the screen border is so large is easy to see. just look at the keyboard and see how far to the edge the keyboard comes. it is wider then the screen. they wanted a specific sized keyboard to fit. they also changed the layout to match samsungs nc10.

    I think he means the keyboard layout with the full right shift key. But Acer's keyboard has always looked like that, which I think all netbooks should look like.
