    It has a glossy black lid and the palm wrests are steel grey (painted).

    The 1410 has a 4400 mAh battery which lasts 6 hours with light usage and dimmed display. It's on the low side for a 6 cell battery.

    Quite good computer actually. The price is ridiculously low but it's just not enough for me to purchase it. I have something against small monitors, I don't know why. It's time for me to upgrade my laptop but this one wont be it I'm afraid.

    I finally signed up just to make this statement - The 1410 does not support dual channel mode and several programs will tell you this. ;)

    1. Welcome on the boards :)
    2. Which programs report that?

    I lost track of which program reported it but I will find out. I know if you go to the website for crucial memory and download the applet to check your computer and advise you of memory upgrades it will tell you it doesn't support dual channel mode.

    If someone knows for a fact that it does I would like to know what program told you this.

    @Herndog
    A user replaced the stock RAM with a 2x2GB 800MHz dual channel kit and 3D Mark 03 jumped from 14xx to 17xx(I don't have the full number in my head right now). It's in line with experiments an other user made on a x3100 comparing single vs dual channel. The graphics chip is very sensitive to DRAM bandwith because it uses shared memory.
    The problem with programs to determine dual channel support is that many programs aren't updated for gs45 yet.

    I agree with der_mali, that example seems to confirm dual channel works.
