Quote from the article:
"Acer and Asustek Computer plan to introduce Intel Alviso-based, 12.1- and 14.1-inch wide-screen notebooks, respectively, in the first quarter of next year, according to market sources.
The 12.1- and 14.1-inch wide-screen models are expected to become the industry mainstream in the consumer- and business- segments in the first half of 2005, said the sources. The 12.1-inch wide-screen notebooks available in the first half of 2005 will weigh 1.5-1.8 kilograms, while the 14.1-inch models will weigh about two kilograms."

No word yet that I can find, but Alviso is supposed to bring pci-x to the notebook along with DDR2 and a faster FSB. I'm guessing/hoping this may mean that these notebooks will come with user-upgradable GPUs eg a ATI X300 or X600 !
I guess we will hear more later in the year.

Any word on the video of these two systems? It's very good to know this. If companies are banking on it, maybe Intel is really serious about this date.
