It it not better to call it a multimedia notebook than a gaming one?
Should at least have ATI HD 4670.

    Either way, nice review.

I just ordered a new Toshiba Qosmio X505 for $1340. It has, i7, GTS 360M, 500GB @ 7200 rpm, 1680 x 945 res on a 18.4", plus 4GB of DDR3, and a 12 cell battery. I see no reason why anybody would pick this over to Qosmio I ordered. Everything is worse about this laptop, minus the noise (maybe) and the weight (for sure). Nice review, lame laptop.

I'm surprised that this is a 16:10 screen billed as a gaming notebook. I would have expected that they might try for the business users, except that the graphics card is a bit of overkill for that segment...

All gaming notebooks used to be 16:10 and some still are. What's surprising about the title is the graphics card; as DEagleson said, an HD 4570 is not something one would associate with gaming. Couldn't they stuff an HD 5650 in there? The TDP should be comparable and the power is much greater.

Oh, I know they used to be. I just found it surprising, since the only "current" 16:10 I know of billed as a gaming notebook is the M17x, and Clevo even has (slightly older) flagship gaming notebooks that are 16:9. It just seems strange that they're going back to a lower resolution 16:10 screen for what would seem to be a newer but weaker model than the W860CU or the W870CU. I do also agree about the graphics card.

I've got a Clevo M770CUH from rjtech.com. It's got a core-i7 620m processor, patriot 1333mhz 4gb 2x2gb DDR3 memory, 500gb 7200 Seagate Momentus hard drive. It is a bargain there. I know that the ati mobility radeon hd4570 isn't the best graphics card for gaming but it still good enough for me. I've got Dark Void at the highest allowable settings and the gameplay is superb for me at least everything is fluid.

The new Lenovo y460 and y560 offer more value, they have ati's 5650 for similar price. In addition they look better.
