This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Phooey ... the 600x1024 res still dissuades me from using these things. Still nice to see they are getting decent battery life though, even with an "upgrade" in graphics card abilities. :)

    My understanding is that Windows 7 Starter does NOT support Optimus switching technology. You would have to upgrade the OS on this machine to Home Premium to get that feature. Someone should try to confirm this so we know if Asus is stretching the truth here.
