IMO, Asus loses right off the bat since it doesn't support the high end GPUs. Why buy a big gaming laptop if not for the gaming performance? In this regard, the M17x is twice as good (680M/7970M vs 670M). Which also means it's kinda unfair to compare their cooling system and say the Asus one is better.

The Asus is so Fail its the only main gaming computer that does not offer the 680m, Sager, Msi and Alienware does. Now all the others look the same plastic square boxes very plain. The M17x looks the best, is not generic, the lights make it look sinister. Now move up to the M18x like I have and you get all aluminum case. The M18x is the king of all laptops in quality, looks and what you can stuff in there with dual m18x sli. Now with that said I would be tempted to buy the M17x next time around, a little more portable. I can't wait for 2013 probably this time next year we are talking about cpu and gpu's way faster, cooler and efficient then we have now. Who knows maybe even Alienwares m14x will be as powerful as the current m17x which for me would be perfect cuz then you have true portability

Not sure why the G75 would get the nod over the Sammy Gamer 7. Faster, better display, price is similar.
