    Charles!! You left out the fact that its less than 2/3 of the price of GTX580!!! Wish the OEMs put this in their notebooks soon~~

    If I'm not mistaken, HD6990M is based on the desktop HD6870 chipset, where the GTX 580M is based on the desktop GTX 560.
    In desktop world, GTX 560 is just about as fast as HD6870, so I don't see how a single 6990M could be faster than a single 580M.
    Either way, judging from their price range, I'd still get the 6990M.

    Simple, the GTX560Ti was downclocked much more than the HD6870 was to make their respective mobile GPU. That's why simply comparing desktop GPU for mobile GPU doesn't work :p

    Otherwise, the GTX580m would be as fast as the GTX560Ti, however, it isn't.
