Thanks for the review Kevin. 2 questions:

    1. How does this screen compare to Dell XPS M1330 LED screen (Toshiba one)?

Is it better, worse, or the same? At that time XPS M1330 (not studio) had above average (although not sony z excellent) LED screen.

    2nd question:

How can you live your life without delete key, without home key, w/o end key and without pg up and page down ;)

And if you are pressing FN for delete invocation, aren't you angry that your beloved CTRL key isn't in the corner of the keyboard like in the rest of this planet and universe?

Is it hard to make typos all the time by pressing CAPS LOCK non-stop? We both cried the other day when we saw the missing space between it and an A letter.

And what about the "ALT" key. It got beaten to death by big spacebar so it no longer sits next to the longest key on keyboard now.

So Kevin, how can you live life like that? :)

awaiting answers, the little sarcasm above is about your review of a Mac Book Pro keyboard, some notes should be said...(I still wonder how APPLE coders are able to code something on their notebooks, hence the slow developement time ;-)

Calling something PRO means productivity for me , and the keyboard is vital

Hard to say if the dell XPS M1330 screen is better or worse without them sitting next to eachother. My big complaint is the screen has hilariously bad reflection problems, making other screens appear nicer in comparison. Outside of the Sony FW and some of the more "budget" Sony notebooks, Sony has always had hands down the best LCD panels. I still remember the awesome little screen on the Sony TZ.

In regards to the keyboard I live my life happily since my notebook is a ThinkPad :). Yes the missing keys would drive me nuts. Since most users know what they are getting into when they go Apple, I try leave myself out of the missing key discussion and just talk about the quality of the keyboard, typing experience, etc.

Well I was hoping for an easy answer for the part number correlating to a model online, but so far all the applications I am using list a unique apple display. Without tearing off the display cover on our review model I dont know of any other way to find out who makes it.

If you go to preferences, display, color, calibrated display, info, nr.13. what does it say?

If that doesn't work PC Wizard 2008 in bootcamp or VMware might do the trick.

as have been said, either PC Wizard, or even better Everest Ultimate running Windows, will tell you even the brand of your socks ;)

That is what I was saying though, the monitor ID that comes up is APP9CA1. No google hits what so ever for it. This was in Everest.

In OS X the color profile lists no manufacturer or device model, they are just left blank.

I have to give Apple respect for keeping the 16:10 ratio screens. Im by far not an apple fan, but this is something that deserves praise in my book. :)

The battery is a big deal, with the dedicated battery management chip it means a whole new battery experience.

I heard rumors about slower data transfer from hard drives in the 13" (on the mac forums here) so that's about the only negative thing about this little gem.
