What do you guys know about xoticpc.com? My cousin is thinking of buying a Sager NP5760 from them and he wants to know how their custom painting is. Has anybody have experience with them? Thanks in advance, Peace.

IF you want a custom painted rig go to www.smoothcreations.com as well. I know Smooth does great work and they sell the same laptops as other vendors (Clevos and such). Either route should be fine.

smooth creations does offer the NP5760 with custom paint job but it's expensive :s

here's a thread about a hel 80 xoticpc did. Also xoticpc.com doesn't do their own paint jobs, they outsource to some company, they won't say who. But I'm sure you can message Justin and ask him if he has any pictures of previous NP5760's that they may have had painted.

Also, according to my correspondence with Justin, xotic's service doesn't paint the custom graphics, if that's what you want done. They print out a vinyl (sticker) of the graphics, then paint a base coat to match the background of that vinyl. They apply it over top of the paint and then apply a clear coat. To me, there's one drawback with this and it is that you can see the edge lines of the vinyl sticker. Take a look at the thread that Gophn referenced and you'll see what I mean.
