    what can i do to my alienware m15x?

    i like the performance but i hate its style? what are some easy ways to cover up the silver color? i dont like a two-toned laptop. can i just put stickers on it? or is that really bad for it? also i go the "ripley design" would it be easy to buy the skullcap part and install it myself?


    *i have built my on pc. but never tried anything like this.

    i don't know but installing it ur self might void the warranty. about hwat u can do to make it look better, get skin or something.

    I would not do too many cosmetic things if you have a warranty. They could void it.

    you can put stickers on it i guess. you can just take it off it you need to send it in for warranty. if you want skullcap they wont just sell the backpanel to you. you will have to send it in for them to change it.

    replacing the red lid from my xps m1710 w/ black one was pretty easy and took about 20 mins to complete. however i did have to take apart pretty much everything except the LCD panel.

    guess what, they do have skins. search ebay for "alienware m15x skins". theres a shop selling all sorts of bright, abstract and awesome skins

    those skins are terrible. someone did a review on it and it is pretty bad. its not the same size as the m15x so you will have some silver showing. the image is also low res so when it is printed out it becomes pixelated.

    actually i decided to just put some stickers on it. however i want a 9 3/4 x 1/2 inch sticker for the laptop hinge. i cant find one this size.

    I think a sticker would be fine, but it won't look good on your notebook. Sager (built on Clevo and Compal) has a good reputation, and Asus gaming notebook is a good choice, too.

    What can you do with your m15x, RETURN IT YOU GOT RIPPED OFF, laptops with superior performance cost about 1k less or more, that extra thousand you paid is for the Alienware logo, its like a cadillac, or lincoln...

    sorry anything related to dell is terrible in my opinion.

    Personally, I think stickers on notebooks look rediculous. If you really want to change the look of your laptop, just get some sort of vinyl film or order a skin for it. To me, the only stickers that belong on a laptop are ones for processors, operating systems, and video cards.

    It shouldn't void your warranty (never heard of that before). I would think as long as you don't block vents and only put laptop skins on the notebook lid, not blocking air vents, there should be no problems.

    Should have palm rests soon.
