I am just wondering, If I had all the parts I needed, which chassis should I choose for a custom build? Clevo, Compal? Which particular model (such as the Clevo P180HM) do you suggest for a gaming build (17.3 inches or above)? Which one has the best air circulation (such as the Asus G74SX which has a nice venting design (btw does Asus sell barebones?))

    Thanks

I don't know if Asus sells barebones, but they don't have any ports on thier g73. After owning this I will never buy an Asus notebook again.

I've read the G73 is the quietest gaming notebook (think it was on anandtech). If I wanted something huge though I'd probably get the P180HM, it looks so damn sexy :p

Sager/Clevo has pretty good air design/cooling same with the asus, but I like the corporate "bland" look of the sager.

build wise, both are premium enough that it's built better than your average consumer laptop (the case would most likely outlast the components inside)

I'd go with an x8100 chassis design since it offers plenty of room and ports. Also there's empty space inside to mod the heatsinks/add more fans :D
