For those of you who remember the Dark Grey Leather skin, this new black skin looks even better.

I ordered one and will post pictures after I've applied it.
They also have some new interesting skins for other Dell laptops, including carbon:

These skins seem to cover the silver edges as well.

That looks pretty sleek
. Only if I hadn’t already spent $30 on the dark Grey skin
…
Post pictures.. I might get another one too.
EDIT : when you receive it could you please take few pictures with the black skin next to your already existing grey skin ? I want to see how dark it looks. Thanks -
I kind of ruined my Dark Grey Leather skin removing it. The thin area above the 'P' in 'XPS' got ripped, and I was unable to safely glue it back in place.
Anyways, that's my excuse to get the black one!
I will surely do a pic of the new black one next to my old damaged grey one. -
I bet it's gonna look great on your 1330!~
I saw they had skin's for the Mini 9, also! If I were ever to make any changes to my I9, I might have to ponder something like this (might):

That chocolate brown leather look's kind of cool!
Looking forward to your pic's!

I have the SGP dark grey skin on my XPS 1530 - SGP's skins are very high quality and fit perfectly. My only regret is they don't really offer much in the line of skins for H-P's and Toshiba's....
-
I just received my black leather skin today, and I'm disappointed.
There are no cut-outs for:
- 'Dell' text in the center of the skin
- 'XPS' text in the lower strip of the skin
I sent them an e-mail and am awaiting their response.
-
-
This is the response I got. I'm going to quintuple check that the cut-outs aren't there.
Thank you for contacting SGP Customer Service.
Our laptop skin products are created at the time we recieve the order from our customers, therefore it is not possible that the skin is missing some cuts.
Our Deep Black Leather and Carbon Texture skin are more thicker than other kinds of skins, and as our cut our lines are thin, some of our customers can't easily see the cutting lines for logos.
We suggest you to see more carefully in the middle, and try to take off the skin from the yellow back paper, then you will be able to see and take off the lettering cuts.
But we do know that something that can be happened happens sometimes, if you could not find the logo cut out after trying to puch off the middle and take the part off as it is not been have fully cut,
it will be eligible for our replacement warranty, for the replacement we just need a few required information from you.
For more detail and procedure for the replacement warranty, please check our policy statement from our website, or click here for the direct link: http://sgpstore.com/policy.php

OK, so it was my problem. The cut-outs for the lettering are so fine, that they do not show up unless you remove the stickers from the backing!
I'll put up some pictures later on....
It looks really good! -
wow didn't realized they are good in laptop's skins too..i used their website to purchase the screen protector for my samsung omnia and thought their major product was the screen protector. i think i need to get one of that as well!
-
-
Kudos.
Cin -
Wow that looks really nice!
-
Wow, impressive!!!!
Question, will it get scratched easily? and how is it applied? Can it be easily removed to retrieve the original finish back (ie: red)
EDIT: lol, I thought it was some premium stuff, turns out they are just stickers????? -
Thanks guys....
It's pretty durable, and easily removed without leaving any residue.
Be careful removing the lower strip where there are thin strips around the letters--my last grey skin got damaged in this area when I was overzealous removing it.
I wouldn't recommend putting this on a lid other than a black one, as the other colour will show in-between the seams. -

vinceboiii Animals are friends, not food.
very nice, well done!
-
Again, great job!
Cin -
looks sooo neat.
vn job -
Looking good
-
makes me wonder why dell doesn't offer these
-
Haven't they partnered with skinit.com??
Cin -
Comparing the black skin to the grey skin, I've noticed the black one is a LOT thicker and feels more like leather, rather than paper. Also, the 'grain' on it is more leather-like.
-
Looks Nice!
-
By the way, they have skins for Apple too:
http://www.sgpstore.com/index.php/cPath/23_36 -
I might get the clear skin guard!! http://www.sgpstore.com/product_info.php/cPath/23_36/products_id/386
seems to be a decent price as well. And i have two scratches after 1 years of use. Not bad -
I've polished the 'leather' skin with black shoe polish and it looks a lot better....will post pics later....
-
Looks pretty good, just placed an order for one
.
-
-
-
LOL you should have your laptop polished at the airport!!!
-
The polish did a good job on the skin!
How long did you apply the polish for?
Cin -
-
Do you think you will make another change sometime in the future (not near future, of course)
Cin -
I think I have it looking the way I want it, with the leather skin matching the vostro black keyboard. -
Cin -
love the way that looks on the dell. would love one but they dont have them for the msi's
-
Mystery, and those who have bought this, you should write a review on their website too. they are giving away prizes for writing review on their site
-
Got mine today, here are some photos after applying shoe polish
.
-
Hey, looking good there!
-
Oh wow that looks really good!
-
Wow, that black leather skin looks beautiful. I wish they sold one for the Studio 15...
And I checked out that skinit.com link from Cin', but so far it just looks like stickers and logos, nothing like leather.
Anybody know where I might find something like the SGP leather skins for a Studio laptop? -
Looks good
-
looks pretty sweet, does it scratch easily or leave nasty marks?
-
I have no scratches whatsoever. It is easily removed, and leaves no residue.
-
Just checked the website for the first time since March...I can't believe they haven't made anything for the Studio 15/17 yet. :/
All the "skins" (plain old stickers) that I've seen for the Studio 15 are basically crap. If SGP would actually churn out one of their leather skins for that model, I'd buy one in a heartbeat. -
I would be happy even if they just put out a nice wood skin for EeePC's 1000H/A/E. The wood skin on the M1330 looks awesome.
-
Their website seems to be d-e-a-d.
-
This leather job suits the laptop design perfectly.
-
Just got and applied my new SGP carbon fiber skin for my xps 1340... looks awesome!!! Well worth the wait from Hong Kong.
