    I would like to take my old notebook and make it look "new" for my 9 year old. Someone suggested adding a skin. Do they stay on well enough? Any suggestions? The unit is a Dell Latitude 120L. Any additional suggetions for making it look new? I'm a novice - any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Disassemble it, wash any all plastic parts in water with very light soap. Depends on whether you've actually worn the plastic or it's just dirty.

    You may also want to replace the keyboard while it's torn apart, as a used keyboard is one of the things that makes a machine look most "used". Maybe even a new plastic lid if that's worn. Those all can be found fairly inexpensively on eBay or whatever:
