Is there any way that I can change the lid cover midnight blue to red? Where can I buy if there is a way? And do I need someone professional to change it? Thanks!

You can only blame yourself for not getting Product Red or getting one sooner.

Call Dell Spare parts and order the Crimson Red lid. Instructions on replacing it can be found in the Service Manual/User's Manual. It is up to you to decide if you are comfortable replacing it yourself. If not you may need to hire a Dell certified technician to replace it for you (which can get quite expensive)

Well that really depends on his economies of scale, and how much the OP values the change. I don't think your attitude is called for in this case - there could very well be a plethora of different factors affecting his/her decision to switch to a red color. Perhaps the red color/Product Red was not available at the time of purchase, or there was a very long lead time for the red color (in my case lead time for red quoted to be around 4 weeks), etc. Thus, I would just cut him/her some slack and try to assist with the query as opposed to simply stating that its not worth doing it or that he/she should have bought the desired color initially.

OP - if these options work out too expensive, you can always attempt to spray paint it yourself. I know Jack53 did this with a m1530. You can probably search for that thread using the search feature.

This is something I have always wondered about too. I found this site which sells replacement back covers:

    http://www.parts-people.com/index.php?action=item&id=4243

For the LED, it has only white and black.

It does have the Crimson Red back but it is only available right now for the CFFL display.

I'v ordered 2 items from parts-people, and they are great. I most recently ordered the product red lid for my m1330 (CCFL) from them.
