so this wont void the warranty?
i mean they are showing you how to open up your own notebook
also i dont want to disconnect the whole screen completely just the frame itself

Oh, yes it will. Just because they post instructions on how to dismantle the system in the service manual does not mean they would approve of it. The service manual is meant for technicians andn repair personal or DIY'er who dont care about warranty. If you want to keep your warranty intact then anything outside upgrading the RAM & HDD will void it.

You could probably get the front bezel out without dismantling the screen but if you want to access the back of the lid, then you would have to disconnect it since you would have to remove the inverter as well as the LCD itself. Plus you would avoid damaging the connections.

You should be able to take the frame off without the need to disassemble. Then you can check if the LCD comes off without the need to disassemble the whole screen.

Its been exactly a year since I bought mine and its been holding up exceptionally well. I take it out in my backpack almost everyday and the imprint finish is still pretty good, other than a couple of scratches around the LCD frame and on the lid. No other problems or issues.

The nforce go 430 is the chipset while the Go 6150 is the IGP. The chipset basically acts as a bridge between the cpu and the components like the HDD, USB ports, IGP etc..

FYI, it would not void the warranty. Please read up.....
other than the links in my sig there are several threads with a ton more info and lots more on the net.

As always however, I have to mention just because they can not legally void it doesn not mean you may not have un uphill battle to get it serviced on thier dime.
