    hey guy,

just thought i would post this. I decided to build a laptop cooler for my dv8t that i am waiting to be delivered. I didn't want to spend $70 on the nxzt cyro lx cooler and all the other coolers that i saw at fry's and best buy seemed to suck... so, i decided to go about making my own. here is a link on the instructions that I based my build on. I used lexan instead of Plexiglas and did 3 120mm fans instead of 2 80mm fans, but other then that its the same

    http://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-Laptop-Cooler/

    $15- 18" x 24" lexan
    $10- 2x cooler master 120fans
$5- 1x mass cool 120 fan (pushes 2x air then the cooler masters, but is
    louder)
    $2- 1x spst toggle switch
free- old psu for some random electric device that i no longer use/have

    $32 total cost

only tools that i used to make it was a drill, screwdriver, heat gun, a dry erase marker, some heat shrinks and electrical tape.

I know that this thread is virtually worthless w/o pics, but i figured that i would post it anyways in case anyone might be interested. The total time of the project was about 1hr and my mechanical skills, electrical knowledge, measuring precision, and ability to use a heat gun without burning the crud out of my right hand is nonexistent. So, if i can do this, anyone can.

update: 1st psu was 19v at 200ma ... it overheated and burned out in 1hr.

new psu:6.3v at 0.4a... fans pushing less but 4 hrs and its not even hot
