    dell logo scratch on back of lcd cover

    is there a way to replace just the dell logo on the back of the lcd cover for the inspiron 1520, i got mine refurbished and there is a scratch through it.

    Im sure that you can call dell and order one. You may have to ship it to them though. Im not sure, but try contacting Dell.

    Its a pain to do. You will have to pull the plastic apart from the lcd. Not worth it imo. Your laptop will get scratched up on its own from use anyways, i wouldn't worry.

    Are you sure its not the plastic film though?

    Yeah you should contact Dell spare parts. Usually they wont sell you just the Dell logo (due to copyright and branding issues), and will probably sell the entire LCD rear bezel (which can be quite expensive). If you have the complete care warranty, you may try calling tech support to see if you can get the bezel replaced since it was a cosmetic damage. I am not sure if they would be willing to replace it since it doesn't affect the system performance or functioning.
