    clean/save rubberized finish

    I have a Compaq Evo notebook. The rubberized finish is deteriorating and getting gummy/tacky. What is best to clean and preserve the finish? Water, Lexol Vinylex, 303 Aerospace, something else? Rubbing alcohol should work but might make things worse down the road.
