I have a P775 from Ava so I dont think I have the options of using Xotics services </3. I want to get laptops top panel, bottom panels and interior screen bezel wrapped or completely painted pink or plum purple and it has to be proper maybe even going so far as adding an extra clear bra layer so wear never becomes an issue as I want this to outlive the hardwares useful life cycle. I have finagled with the idea myself...I played with self wrapping on a P670, im not confident. Here in Orlando I have found 0 body shops willing to do the work so that also throws that idea of a local assist out the window so now im lost on where to go...

Asides from that...long term how badly would the custom work diminish the value of the system versus something with a stock chassis? I've seen a resurgence in pink for watercooling but laptops not so much...

Go to home depot and get you some " Painter's Touch " spray cans. I will eventually get my Alienware(s) spray canned up ...

Sometimes painters that work in auto body shops will take on small jobs like this to make a few bucks on the side. You'd have to talk to the painter(s) rather than the shop manager. Most body shop managers are tied up with insurance work and focusing on repair cycle time because the clock is ticking on rental cars and they don't want to think about stuff that gets in the way of that, but the refinishing technicians are a different story.

You could also check with a local graphics arts or sign painting company.
