    The HP wins by far...Gateway could probably win if you're talking about how solid or durable it looks but in terms of style...the Gateway doesnt even come close to the HP

    The T61 really isn't attractive looking. Out of the two given though I would go for the HP.

    HP hands down. They started the whole glossy finish, subtle patterns and cool touch buttons trend that Gateway, Asus and a bunch of others are now doing. But why aren't others on here? I mean if Sony was on this poll, it would be a toss up, and I'd like to know the results.

    the question was which one looks better, as in which one looks better than the other. the hp has more appeal but anything (from hp) over 14" looks hideous.

    The new gateways are much better sense they have the same copied design of HP and the durability that HP never had with it`s DV series.

    The Gateway looks better even though I would buy the HP.

    It looks like it has a brushed aluminum palm rest in that tiny picture.
